BRANDEN JACOBS-JENKINS WINS EVENING STANDARD AWARD 2017

Branden Jacobs-Jenkins won the prestigious Evening Standard Award for Most Promising Playwright last weekend for his critically acclaimed hits Gloria, produced by Hampstead Theatre in June 2017, and An Octoroon, produced by the Orange Tree Theatre earlier this year. The last Hampstead playwright recipient of this award was Beth Steel in 2014 for her incredible portrayal of the mining strike in the 80s, Wonderland. Past recipients include Tom Stoppard, Jez Butterworth and Polly Stenham.
