Phil Spector changed the face of modern music, becoming the first music producer to be a star in his own right and creating some of the biggest hits of the 20th century. In 2007, he was put on trial, accused of murdering LA nightclub hostess Lana Clarkson. His conviction of murder in 2009 changed Spector’s fame to notoriety.
This documentary uses footage from an exclusive interview filmed in March 2007, combined with clips from his first trial, to explore world-famous hits from a previously unseen perspective.
Edward Hall (Chair) is the Artistic Director of Hampstead Theatre, and has worked extensively for stage and screen.
Vikram Jayanti is the film’s director, and a multi-award winning documentary director and producer.
