Tim Pigott-Smith: Our friend and colleague

'The sudden loss of this great man will leave a seismic hole in the lives of everyone who knew him. A huge talent who has supported me as a friend and colleague for the last twenty years. 

He worked tirelessly on the Board of Hampstead Theatre and only last week, in the middle of his rehearsals, gave up his Sunday to help me fundraise for the theatre. This was so typical of a man who so frequently put others first. Gracious, loyal and talented. Our thoughts are with his family at this very difficult time.'
